Only occasional attempts were made at authentic period dialogue, there were several instances of historical inaccuracy (okay, maybe not inaccuracy, but... oddities that definitely should have been commented on [hitching a ride into London in someone else's carriage when you have a perfectly good one of your own?] but weren't), I noticed at least three typos, and I kept forgetting which character was which - nobody had a distinct enough voice for me to remember them for long. In addition, and this is probably a personal thing, I HATE plots that hinge on the characters not talking to each other like adults for five seconds, and instead fumbling around for four or five chapters of easily avoidable "does he love me?/does he not love me?" TBH, I skimmed over most of that hand-wringing.
Overall, the sex itself was okay, but I don't think I'd recommend this to anyone as a Regency romance.
